Fighting for What Matters to You

Support the Minerals Industry

The minerals industry is the backbone of Wyoming’s and Sublette County’s economy and is responsible for the creation of thousands of good paying jobs in Wyoming.  The state and local tax revenue generated from the Minerals Industry powers Wyoming, and is critical to funding local government and K12 education. The Oil&Gas industry began in our valley decades ago in the LaBarge area, and the natural gas fields in Sublette County are some of the largest in the country. I was a strong supporter of the minerals industry during my time in the Legislature.

Bills I have supported include:

  • SF0037 - Wyoming energy authority

  • SF0018 - Orphan site remediation funding

  • HB0243 - Oil and gas tax-new production(tax break)(co-sponsor)

  • SJ0003 - Federal suspension and orders on oil and gas production(resolution in support of oil&gas)

Support Agriculture

Agriculture is the foundation of Wyoming’s spirit, after all we are the Wyoming Cowboys. Agriculture is an integral part of Wyoming’s economy. As a fourth-generation Sublette County rancher on both sides of my family, I’ll stand with our farmers and ranchers by protecting Wyoming’s water, supporting the fight against noxious weeds and predators, reducing burdensome regulations, and funding high quality Agriculture programs in Wyoming’s Community Colleges and at the University of Wyoming. Working agricultural lands protect the landscapes and wildlife that make Wyoming who we are.

Bills I have supported include:

Support Public Lands and Wildlife

Wyoming’s public lands are a cornerstone of our heritage and our economy. I’ll fight to keep these lands open in the multiple-use tradition. I oppose any state or federal legislation or policy that promotes the broad or indiscriminate sale, transfer or exchange of public lands. I do support responsible, locally supported land exchanges, adjustments or disposals under existing laws and procedures when they demonstrably enhance public access, natural resource use or community benefit. The working landscapes of Wyoming provide habitat for some of the most impressive game herds in the nation, and our headwater streams provide some of the best trout fishing in the world.  I have been a strong advocate for increased funding to the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust(WWNRT). I supported this budget amendment:

  • HB0125 - Repeal gun free zones and preemption amendments

  • SF0109 - Prohibit Red Flag Gun Seizure Act

  • SF0105 - Wyoming Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act

Support Education

Education is the most important service government provides its citizens, and Wyoming’s Constitution makes clear it is a top priority. And it is a top priority of mine.

I support:

  • Funding K–12 education

  • Expanding career and technical education

  • Supporting parental involvement

Every life is precious. I will continue to stand for the unborn while supporting policies that protect mothers and children.

  • SF0109 - Prohibiting chemical abortions.

  • HB0007 - Underage marriage-amendments

Protect Girls’ Sports

Women’s sports must remain fair and competitive. I support protecting opportunities for female athletes to compete on a level playing field.

I co-sponsored legislation to preserve the integrity of women’s sports:

Support Voter Integrity

Wyoming’s elections are strong because of our county clerks and transparent systems. I support commonsense measures that ensure every legal vote counts and public confidence remains high.

I co-sponsored legislation to strengthen voter identification requirements:

Protecting Our Water Resources

Water is the lifeblood of Wyoming—and nowhere is that more important than in the Green River Basin.

Our water supports:

  • Agriculture and ranching

  • Energy production

  • Wildlife and fisheries

  • Local communities and future growth

I have a proven record of protecting Wyoming’s water, including helping establish the Wyoming Colorado River Advisory Committee to ensure our state has a strong voice in interstate water discussions. HB0222 - Colorado river advisory committee.

I will continue to:

  • Defend Wyoming’s water rights against outside pressures

  • Ensure Wyoming gets its fair share of Colorado River Basin water

  • Support responsible water storage and infrastructure

  • Protect flows that sustain agriculture, fisheries, and local economies

  • Oppose federal overreach that threatens state control of water

The Green River Basin is central to Wyoming’s future. We must protect it—for our communities, our economy, and the next generation.
